The way to get the most benefit from installing a new programmable thermostat is to program it to your lifestyle. If you have a fixed work schedule you can have the temperature change to a lower setting while you are at work and bring the temperature of the house back to your desired temperature about an hour before you come home, and all it takes is few minutes to set everything up.
A new programmable thermostat can be difficult to install for an inexperienced person, but don’t let this keep you from calling a Heat and Air contractor to have one installed.
